Trans Asia Airways Plane Crashes In Taiwan 48 Peoples Killed  

Trans Asia Airways Plane near Magong Taiwan The aircraft was on a Scheduled Domestic Flight between Kaohsiung and Magong, Taiwan. The Airplane Crashed into a Residential Area near the Airport during a go around following an attempted landing at Magong, Taiwan, which is on Penghu Island. Of the Four Crew members and 54 passengers, at least 48 Occupants were killed. At least five people on the ground were also Injured. There was heavy rain in the Area at the time of the Crash. 

The Aircraft took off from Taiwan's southern city of Kaohsiung, headed for the Airport of Makong, but crash-landed in Huxi township of Penghu County, the main Island of the chain also known as the Pescadores

TransAsia Airways is a Taiwan-based Airline with a fleet of around 23 Airbus and ATR aircraft, Operating Chiefly short-haul Flights on domestic routes as well as to mainland China, Japan, Thailand and Cambodia, among its Asian destinations

TAIPEI - Pesawat Trans Asia yang dikabarkan jatuh usai melakukan
pendaratan darurat menghantam
Pulau Penghu, Taiwan. Menurut
laporan pulau tersebut hanya
memiliki sedikit penduduk. Melansir dari Assosiated Press, Rabu
(23/7/2014), Penghu merupakan
sebuah pulau berpenduduk sedikit
dan rata-rata hanya ada sekitar dua
penerbangan sehari dari Taipei. 


Sebelumnya pesawat tersebut
dilaporkan berupaya melakukan
pendaratan darurat usai
menghadapi badai. Dalam insiden itu
setidaknya 51 orang dilaporkan
tewas dan sembilan orang mengalami luka – luka. Berdasarkan
laporan badan penerbangan sipil
setempat pesawat tersebut
membawa sekira 54 penumpang. Rencananya pesawat tersebut akan
menuju Ibu Kota Taiwan yakni
Taipei. Namun nahas pesawat
tersebut justru jatuh saat melakukan
pendaratan darurat.
