MOU Strengthens Aviation Ties Between Shri Lanka and New Zealand The International Aviation Academy of New Zealand has signed a memorandum of understanding with Open Skies FlightTraining Limited, a Sri Lankan Pilots Training Academy based in Colombo. The MOU marks the launch of an International PilotsTraining scheme for studentsTraining to become commercial Pilotss. IAANZ has beenTraining Pilotss for 86 years and is the first foreign school to be approved by the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka. The firstTraining scheme will involve cadet PilotsTraining and progress to advanced commercial PilotsTraining which will take place in Christchurch, New Zealand. Under the partnership, student Pilotss will firstTrain in Sri Lanka and then progress to Christchurch, New Zealand, to complete advancedTraining to receive a CAA Sri Lanka Commercial Pilots License certification.
